Finishing work
Final step in small-lot production is assembly-sticking to lens (align register marks on the dge of print). Paper must be in full contact with back side of lens where is the focus. Any deflection distorts image.
For temporary assemble it is possible to use a spray glue but for long-term join is necessary to use optically clear adhesive (MacTac Permatrans is recommended).
Many large-lot projects require a layer of covering white-paint (UV toner, seriographic paint) or barrier material in order to avoid image show-through at the back, resp. to ease back printing.
The more intense is seam side printing, the more layers of paint or even lamination of barrier material is needed.
Polypropylene barrier film is sticked either thermographically? or as sticker.
Paper is much more cheaper bur its curling can make troubles. It is useful to orientate paper grains upright to lens move.
